I don’t have much news really. I don’t think I mentioned it before but luckily our lease has been renewed and this time, for a year. We are super pleased about this because it now means that we don’t have to go looking for rental properties right now with things the way they are. It adds a little bit of security for a while. It’s brilliant news. I was dreading the thought of moving with a 4 week old baby and what have you.

Anyway, our days and nights go so very fast and also extremely slow. We are caught up in a blur of nappy changing, Ruby-wrangling, feeding, settling, washing (!) and the like. Leo is a completely different baby to Ruby. She really lulled us into a false sense of security. Leo likes to cry and freak out about twice a day usually between 8-11(morning and evening). It takes every ounce of inner strength and parenting skills to get through. Especially when they both decide to take up the “witching hour” at the same time. Needless, to say I’ve shed quite a few tears trying to get used to this “two kids” thing. Giving birth was easy – this is where the really fun stuff starts. So at the moment, I’m feeling like a “food source”. I can’t wait until Leo starts smiling and interacting with us and the novelty of him wears off on Ruby (she spends a lot of time getting in his face, waking him up, licking (yes licking) him). All I can say is – that god for slings. Babywearing rocks.

Keep up the strength – only a couple weeks more and he’ll be better again. Just remember all those other Mum’s out there doing the same insane hours etc. You’re being thought of everyday and I’m sending all my good vibes to get you through the ‘tough’ days. Miss you – Luv Urs
